Statute overview

About this statute

This law amends several existing Luxembourg laws on work incapacity, social security, employment administration, unemployment benefits, and tax incentives for hiring unemployed people. Certain workers may get internal or external redeployment, and employers have related duties. The mixed commission may not decide a new worker reclassification within one year after the previous reclassification decision. If an internally reclassified worker’s job ends for specified reasons, the worker is treated like an external reclassification beneficiary if they notify the relevant employment service by registered mail within 20 working days. This article sets out the procedure for referring a worker for medical assessment, notifying the employer, and deciding on internal or external reclassification.
