About this statute

This preamble introduces a grand-ducal regulation about how the Government grants concessions for Luxembourg satellite programs and the general rules attached to those concessions. The Government grants concessions for Luxembourg satellite programmes, after a proposal from the Minister responsible for media and consultation of the Independent Broadcasting Commission. After consulting the independent broadcasting commission, the Minister must submit proposals to the Government in Council, which decides on granting the concession. The Minister may grant concessions, with specifications attached, on behalf of the Government. Les concessions ont une durée limitée, peuvent être renouvelées pour le même bénéficiaire, et peuvent couvrir un ou plusieurs programmes.
