Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble introduces a Grand-Ducal regulation on voluntary health insurance and lists the legal bases and consulted bodies. For voluntary health insurance insured persons, the contribution base is the taxable income, within the minimum and maximum limits set by article 39. Insurance contributions for continued insurance are due starting the day after affiliation ends; for optional insurance, they are due from the day the request is submitted. Benefit entitlement depends on paying overdue contributions, and optional-insurance benefits are suspended for the first three months after the request is filed.
