Statute overview
About this statute
This text amends the heading of Section I and Article 1 of the regulation on entry and stay conditions for certain categories of foreigners. This section applies to certain EU and EEA nationals in Luxembourg, including workers, self-employed people, students, some former workers with qualifying pensions, some other residents with insurance and income conditions, and certain family members. Certain foreign nationals may enter Luxembourg by showing an accepted identity document, and specified persons aged over 15 who plan to stay more than three months obtain a residence card. A penalty rule does not apply to an employer who hires an EU or EEA worker before the residence-card formalities are completed. Certain long-term residents covered by this rule cannot be removed unless they pose a threat to public security.
