About this statute

This regulation concerns the statistical recording of external payments and the balance of payments. This article defines key terms used in the regulation and gives the Institut power to set by regulation the conditions for exceptions to those definitions. Les résidents doivent déclarer à l’Institut toutes leurs opérations avec l’étranger, avec certaines informations supplémentaires selon le type d’opération. The Institut may set the rules for how notifications under article 2 are made, including the forms, deadlines, coded transmission, and when some information need not be communicated. L’Institut peut dispenser les résidents, en tout ou partie, des obligations prévues aux articles 2 et 3.
