Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble identifies the regulation on good laboratory practice and control of its application for chemical substance tests, and lists the legal texts it relies on. Laboratories testing chemical products must follow the good laboratory practice (BPL) principles in the annex. When test results are submitted, the laboratories covered by Article 1 must certify that the tests were carried out in accordance with the GLP principles in that article. Several authorities are responsible for checking compliance with BPL principles, and they may do so through inspections and study verifications.
