Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble introduces a Grand-Ducal regulation about Luxembourg’s participation in ISAF in Afghanistan. Luxembourg must participate in the ISAF peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, within the European Corps framework and under UN auspices. The Luxembourg contribution includes at most 2 members of the Luxembourg Army. Le Ministre de la Défense désigne les membres de l’Armée luxembourgeoise participant à la mission, sur proposition du Chef d’Etat-Major de l’Armée. The duration of the Luxembourg participation may be extended beyond 28 February 2005 if there is a delay in setting up the relief detachment.
