This text is the preamble to a Grand-Ducal regulation about the conditions under which music schools may provide the specialized middle division of music education. A music school may dispense specialized middle-division courses only if it has approval under article 2 and meets the listed conditions. A commune or group of communes managing a music school must send an approval request to the education minister before 1 May of the school year concerned, and the request must include a dossier with the branches, expected student numbers, and the names and qualifications of the teachers. The minister must decide within three months of being seized. Any approval lasts one school year for collective courses or two years for individual courses, and it may be renewed. Intermediate and final exams are held at a conservatory designated by the minister, and the musical education commissioner may attend the jury as an observer when he considers it useful.
