Statute overview

About this statute

This regulation sets the rules for granting capital or interest subsidies for hotels. Some hotel owners, operators, and other persons may receive capital or interest subsidies for certain hotel investments, and hotel service-quality certification programs may also qualify if recognized by the Tourism Minister and tied to a label. Only investments made for construction, extension, or modernisation of real-estate infrastructure, and certain equipment purchases/improvements within such a project for an accommodation establishment, may receive subsidies under this regulation. Investments for maintenance, simple renovation, or replacement of movable objects are not eligible for a subsidy unless they are carried out as part of a modernization project. Hotel modernization or rationalization projects may receive a subsidy if, after the works, at least 85% of the rooms have a bathroom and a WC, unless there is a major technical or architectural obstacle.
