Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble introduces a grand-ducal regulation on the conditions and procedures for obtaining the attestation needed to do substitute teaching in primary education. Candidates may be admitted to the training stage for the attestation to provide substitutes in primary education if they hold the required diploma and have adequate knowledge of the three administrative languages, or are exempted from that language requirement. The minister sets up a commission for 3 years, and that commission decides whether candidates are admitted to the stage. This article sets internship rules for candidates, including required participation in school activities, weekly learning activities, a portfolio, assessments, and conditions for obtaining an attestation to do replacements in fundamental education. Certain teachers, commission members, and an inspector or substitute are entitled to an indemnity set by the Government in Council.
