Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble lists the legal bases and consultations for the regulation on certain oenological practices. Wines with the protected designation of origin “Moselle Luxembourgeoise” must meet a minimum natural alcoholic strength of 6.5% vol for Elbling and Rivaner, and 7.5% vol for other grape varieties. Les vins doivent respecter des limites de composition, notamment pour l’alcool, l’acidité et le soufre. Infractions to this regulation are punishable by the penalties set out in another Grand-Ducal regulation. This article repeals the part under point D, “Pratiques oenologiques,” of the referenced 2004 grand-ducal regulation.
