Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble identifies the regulation and lists the legal basis and formal consultations used before adoption. Starting 1 January 2011, the listed communes must set up a social office under their supervision; all other communes are grouped into joint social offices with a designated seat commune. Une commune ne peut se retirer d’un office social commun que si elle peut créer son propre office social ou rejoindre un autre office social commun. With the communes’ agreement, the board composition or voting weights of a social office may be adjusted according to the demographic size of the communes involved. The concerned municipal council appoints the commune’s delegates to a joint office, and the college of mayor and aldermen must publish a call for applications at least 15 days before the council meeting where the appointment is made.
