Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble identifies the Grand-Duc as issuing a grand-ducal regulation on the admission contest for the preparatory stage for primary school teacher training. A candidate may take the competition exams for admission to the training stage for becoming a teacher if the candidate is authorized to teach the four cycles of fundamental education and has passed the preliminary exams, and meets the conditions in article 6 of the 2009 law on fundamental education staff. Candidates must take and pass the preliminary exams before the competition exams. Language tests are meant to check whether candidates have the skills needed to teach in Luxembourg’s fundamental school, and each test includes a written and an oral part. Each school year, two sessions may be organized, and the minister sets their dates.
