Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble introduces a Grand-Ducal regulation creating protection zones around groundwater capture sites at Glasbouren, Brennerei, and Dommeldange. Des zones de protection sont créées autour de certains captages d’eau souterraine dans plusieurs communes du Luxembourg. This article shows the boundaries of groundwater protection zones on the plans in Annex I and treats unlabeled parcels inside those zones as part of the protected zones. This article sets water-protection rules: fencing or marking zones, transport and pesticide bans, farming limits, tank safety requirements, inspections, and some ministerial derogations. The operator of water abstraction points must establish a measures programme within two years after this regulation enters into force.
