Statute overview

About this statute

This ministerial regulation concerns combating bovine tuberculosis and measures to improve the cattle herd for the 1963/64 campaign. The mandatory tuberculosis examination must be carried out during the 1963/64 period from 15 November 1963 to 15 April 1964. If a herd has a bovine tuberculosis reinfection during the 1963/64 campaign, all bovines must get a follow-up tuberculin test within the stated window, the results must be recorded on the correct form, and the farm is placed under simple sequestration between the two tests. This article sets how the costs of prescribed bovine tuberculosis examinations are split: 8 francs per head are charged to the cattle holder and 7 francs per head to the State. Bovines that reacted positively to tuberculin in the 1963/64 campaign must be removed for slaughter, unless the owner slaughters them himself within the deadline set by the veterinary inspector general.
