Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble identifies a ministerial regulation on mandatory control of bovine tuberculosis for 1975. L’examen obligatoire de la tuberculose des bovins doit avoir lieu en 1975 du 2 janvier au 31 mars, sur un tiers du cheptel bovin, dans des communes fixées par le directeur de l’inspection générale vétérinaire. The exam must follow the rules of the 5 October 1959 ministerial order on bovine tuberculosis, and only bovine-type PPD tuberculin may be used. If a certified veterinarian finds a positive or doubtful tuberculin reaction in a herd, all cattle in that farm must be retested, the result must be recorded on the proper form, the farm is placed under simple sequestration, and certain cattle cannot be sold until sequestration ends. The fee for the bovine tuberculosis examination is set at 8 francs per tuberculin-tested animal, payable by the cattle holder, and 15 francs per animal, payable by the State.
