Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble identifies the ministerial regulation and says the Minister of Public Health and the Environment makes it after considering cited legal bases and a medical board opinion. Some pharmaceutical specialties may only be sold in pharmacies on a medical prescription, and only if they are authorized and marked with “S”, “RR”, or “R” on the Minister’s published lists. The renewal of dispensing a pharmaceutical specialty marked “RR” is only allowed if the prescriber has expressly noted it on the prescription. A marked pharmaceutical specialty may be renewed if the prescriber has not expressly forbidden it. Products marked with the sign “S” are additionally regulated by the referenced grand-ducal regulation.
