Statute overview
About this statute
This ministerial regulation concerns mandatory measures to fight bovine tuberculosis for the year 1980. A mandatory tuberculosis examination for bovines is to take place during the 1979–1980 campaign, from 1 December 1979 to 31 March 1980. The bovine tuberculosis examination must follow the 5 October 1959 ministerial order, and only bovine-type PPD tuberculin may be used. The examination result must be written by an approved veterinarian on the correct form, and the forms must be completed and sent to the Veterinary Services Administration within 15 days after the results are read. If a herd shows a positive or doubtful reaction, the accredited veterinarian must immediately notify the competent veterinary inspector, doubtful cattle must undergo a follow-up tuberculin test, the re-infected holding is placed under simple sequestration, and certain cattle may not be sold until the sequestration ends.
