For state civil servants and employees involved in an R&D project and paid as extraordinary-work indemnities, the applicable hourly rate is set at 1/173 of their gross monthly salary. For third parties taking part in an R&D project and paid as third-party service allowances, the hourly rate is set at 1/173 of the gross pay they would receive at the start of the career of a state official or employee in the relevant career path.
