About this statute

This section gives the Act’s short title: it may be cited as the Restriction and Security Orders Act. This section defines key terms used in the Act. The Minister may make a restriction order for certain convicted persons or undesirable persons, if he thinks fit and subject to the Act. The Minister may make a security order for certain persons, and if a security order is made, a restriction order must also be made to take effect if the security order is not complied with in time. Orders under this Act may be made only after the required certificate or report process, and the Minister must be satisfied they may lawfully be made.
