About this statute
This provision gives the Act its short title: the Supplies Control Act. This section defines “officer” and “supplies” for the Act, unless the context requires a different meaning. Certain organizations and persons acting for them must not obtain supplies from outside Malawi without the Minister’s prior written consent. No person may render supplies to covered associations, organizations, or bodies without the Minister’s prior written consent. An officer may require a person to produce books, documents, records, or papers for inspection when the officer reasonably believes an offence under the Act has been or is being committed.
