About this statute

This Act may be cited as the Export Incentives Act. This section defines key terms used in the Act. The Minister must supervise implementation of the Act and may take steps, delegate duties, and exercise powers to promote exports of Malawi. This section establishes the National Export Policy Committee and sets out its membership, including a Chairman, a secretary, several named officials, and up to three appointed members from Malawi’s export trade sector. The Committee must review Council programmes and export obstacles, recommend action to the Minister, and do other acts required or needed for its functions, subject to the Minister’s directions.
