Statute overview

About this statute

This section gives the Act its short title: the Press Trust Reconstruction Act. This section defines key terms used in the Act. The original deed is treated as varied according to the Schedule 14 days after a related notice is published in the Gazette by the Minister of Finance. The President and the Settlor must each appoint one initial trustee within 20 days after the section 3 notice is published, and the appointment must be by written notice to the Attorney General. When the initial trustees are appointed, the Trust Fund’s assets, rights, liabilities, and obligations are treated as transferred from the existing trustees to the initial trustees.
