Statute overview

About this statute

This Act sets rules for importing, licensing, handling, and quality control of feed and feed additives, and creates offences and penalties for non-compliance. Authorized officers generally must not disclose protected information, and officers who knowingly do so commit an offence with fines or imprisonment. The Minister may make regulations, and people importing feed or feed additive when the Act starts must apply for a licence within six months if they want to continue. The Board must acknowledge applications, and refused applicants may appeal to the Minister and keep importing while the matter is pending.
