Statute overview

About this statute

This provision sets rules for sharing and retaining fraud-related health-care data, and for how the information point and data holders must inform people and manage access. Betrokken instanties must have a process for deciding whether a signal should be reported to the IKZ, and they may only share data that is necessary. The IKZ must process and secure data carefully when enriching, sharing, and analysing fraud signals, and it must keep aggregated indicator data non-traceable to individuals. The Minister of VWS may designate the institution that will carry out the relevant work, and a person concerned has a right to see disclosures of their own BRP data to a third party. The person cannot block that disclosure here.
