Przekształcenie, o którym mowa w ust. 1, polega na wyłączeniu z dotychczasowego Ministerstwa Infrastruktury i Budownictwa, obsługującego sprawy działów budownictwo, planowanie i zagospodarowanie przestrzenne oraz mieszkalnictwo, łączność oraz transport, komórek organizacyjnych obsługujących sprawy działu budownictwo, planowanie i zagospodarowanie przestrzenne oraz mieszkalnictwo oraz pracowników obsługujących sprawy tego działu. Traci moc rozporządzenie Rady Ministrów z dnia 7 grudnia 2015 r. w sprawie utworzenia Ministerstwa Infrastruktury i Budownictwa (Dz. U. poz. 2080). Rozporządzenie wchodzi w życie z dniem ogłoszenia, z mocą od dnia 22 stycznia 2018 r.
