U. z 2019 r. poz. 1171 oraz z 2020 r. poz. 568 i 695) zarządza się, co następuje: Tworzy się Ministerstwo Klimatu i Środowiska w drodze przekształcenia dotychczasowego Ministerstwa Klimatu. Przekształcenie, o którym mowa w ust. 1, polega na włączeniu do dotychczasowego Ministerstwa Klimatu, obsługującego sprawy działów energia i klimat: komórek organizacyjnych obsługujących sprawy działu gospodarka wodna oraz pracowników obsługujących sprawy tego działu z dotychczasowego Ministerstwa Gospodarki Morskiej i Żeglugi Śródlądowej; komórek organizacyjnych obsługujących sprawy działu środowisko oraz pracowników obsługujących sprawy tego działu z dotychczasowego Ministerstwa Środowiska. Traci moc rozporządzenie Rady Ministrów z dnia 26 października 1999 r. w sprawie utworzenia Ministerstwa Klimatu (Dz. U. poz. 1017 oraz z 2019 r. poz. 2289). Rozporządzenie wchodzi w życie z dniem ogłoszenia, z mocą od dnia 6 października 2020 r.
