ينشأ اتحاد رياضي يسمى "الاتحاد القطري للسباحة" ويضم أندية اللعبة القائمة حالياً والتي تتكون مستقبلاً. يضع مجلس إدارة الاتحاد لوائحه الداخلية متضمنة القواعد المنظمة لأعماله ولكل أوجه نشاطه. وبوجه خاص أهدافه واختصاصاته وفقاً للنظام الأساسي للاتحادات الرياضية المعتمد بقرار رئيس الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة رقم (105) لسنة 1992 المشار إليه. ولا تكون هذه اللوائح الداخلية نافذة إلا بعد اعتمادها من الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة. يلغى قرار رئيس الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة رقم (71) لسنة 1992 بتشكيل لجنة السباحة. وتؤول أموال وموجودات اللجنة القطرية للسباحة إلى الاتحاد القطري للسباحة. على جميع الجهات المختصة، كل فيما يخصه، تنفيذ هذا القرار، ويعمل به من تاريخ صدوره وينشر في الجريدة الرسمية.
