The Russian Government adopts a resolution to transform the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute into the Moscow State Open University.

ПРАВИТЕЛЬСТВО РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ ПОСТАНОВЛЕНИЕ от 20 февраля 1992 г. N 101 г. Москва О преобразовании Всесоюзного заочного политехнического института Правительство Российской Федерации постановляет: Принять предложение Министерства науки, высшей школы и технической политики Российской Федерации, согласованное с Министерством экономики и финансов Российской Федерации, Министерством юстиции Российской Федерации и правительством Москвы о преобразовании Всесоюзного заочного политехнического института в Московский государственный открытый университет. Преобразование указанного высшего учебного заведения произвести в пределах ассигнований, предусмотренных Всесоюзному заочному политехническому институту на 1992 год. Первый заместитель Председателя Правительства Российской Федерации Г. Бурбулис
