The order sets salary amounts for the mayors and deputy mayors of Moscow and Leningrad, and gives the mayors power to set salaries for executive and administrative staff.

РАСПОРЯЖЕНИЕ ПРЕДСЕДАТЕЛЯ ВЕРХОВНОГО СОВЕТА РСФСР О должностных окладах В связи с изменением структуры управления городов Москвы и Ленинграда и введением новых должностей руководителей города: 1. Установить должностные оклады: - мэру г. Москвы - 2800 рублей в месяц; - вице-мэру - 2400 рублей в месяц; - мэру г. Ленинграда - 2500 рублей в месяц; - вице-мэру - 2100 рублей в месяц. 2. Предоставить право мэрам городов Москвы и Ленинграда устанавливать должностные оклады работникам исполнительной власти и управления и сохранить за ними права, предусмотренные ранее органам исполнительной власти этих городов Советом Министров РСФСР. 3. Сохранить за работниками исполнительной власти и управления городов Москвы и Ленинграда действующие в настоящее время системы премирования и материального стимулирования, имея в виду, что премия мэрам городов Москвы и Ленинграда по результатам их работы устанавливается Советом Министров РСФСР.
