The President authorizes elections for the head of the executive authority of Samara Region in December 1996, and regional authorities must carry out the required organizational and technical preparations on time.

УКАЗ ПРЕЗИДЕНТА РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ О выборах главы исполнительной власти Самарской области В связи с обращением органов государственной власти Самарской области о проведении выборов главы исполнительной власти, принимая во внимание наличие необходимой правовой базы для проведения выборов и руководствуясь статьей 77 и частью 2 статьи 80 Конституции Российской Федерации, постановляю: 1. Разрешить проведение выборов главы исполнительной власти Самарской области в декабре 1996 г. 2. Органам государственной власти Самарской области обеспечить в установленные федеральным и областным законодательством сроки выполнение организационных и технических мероприятий по подготовке и проведению выборов главы исполнительной власти Самарской области.
