Statute overview

About this statute

This provision sets the framework for electing deputies to the Perm Krai Legislative Assembly and assigns election-administration tasks, deadlines, and voter-rights rules. This provision sets how election commissions are formed and what they may and must do, including publishing notices, handling complaints, supporting oversight, and meeting deadlines. Electoral associations must nominate candidates by secret ballot and submit the required candidate lists and documents on time; candidates in single-mandate districts must also file a consent statement. The election commission must decide on registration within 10 days. A candidate or party representative may get copies of signature-check records and official documents if signature problems are serious enough. The commission may not register the same person in more than one list or more than one single-member district. Some media outlets may give registered candidates and electoral lists free airtime or print space, but other private outlets may not; payment terms, reporting, and accounting rules must also be followed.
