Daily working hours in public service shall be nine (9) hours from Monday to Friday. Ingingo ya 5: Amasaha y’akazi y’ikirenga Article 5: Overtime work Article 5: Heures supplémentaires Ingingo ya 5: Amasaha y’akazi y’ikirenga Article 5: Overtime work Article 5: Heures supplémentaires Mu gihe umukozi wa Leta yakoze amasaha y’ikirenga mu nyungu z’imirimo ashinzwe bikaba byemejwe n’umuyobozi umukuriye mu kazi, uwo mukozi agira uburenganzira bwo guhabwa amasaha y’ikiruhuko angana n’amasaha y’ikirenga yakozemo akazi. Icyo kiruhuko gihwanye n’amasaha y’ikirenga kigira agaciro kandi kigafatwa mu gihe kitarenze ukwezi kumwe kubarwa uhereye igihe gukora amasaha y’ikirenga byabereye. In case of overtime work done in the interest of services falling under duties and responsibilities of a public servant as approved by immediate supervisor, the public servant shall have right to get compensated by being given hours of rest equal to hours spent on overtime work. Such rest shall have validity and be taken within a period of one month starting from the date of overtime work. Si un agent de l’Etat a travaillé pendant des heures supplémentaires dans l’intérêt du service suivant ses responsabilités, cet agent a le droit d’être compensé en termes de repos égal aux heures passées à travailler pendant les heures supplémentaires. Ce repos est valide et est pris au cours d’une période n’excédant pas un mois à partir de la date de travail pendant les heures supplémentaires. Written request for compensation shall clearly indicate how the overtime work was done in the interest of service. La demande écrite de compensation doit indiquer clairement que les heures supplémentaires ont été dues dans l'intérêt de service. Kwishyura amasaha y’ikirenga mu mafaranga birabujijwe mu butegetsi bwa Leta. Monetary compensation for overtime work is prohibited in public service. La compensation monétaire pour les heures supplémentaires est interdite dans la fonction publique.
