Statute overview

About this statute

This Order creates the Committee of doctors, sets its members’ term of office, and regulates how it works. This article appoints five named people as members of the Committee and says the Committee members must elect a President, Vice President, and Rapporteur at their first meeting. Members of the Committee have a five-year term, renewable once. A Committee member loses membership if the term ends, the member resigns, cannot perform duties because of certified illness or disability, behaves contrary to duties, is definitively sentenced to at least six months’ imprisonment, or dies. If a committee member loses membership, the Minister in charge of health must replace that person within six months.
