This provision creates Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) and says the Law also sets out its mission, powers, organization, and functioning. RP has legal personality and autonomy, and it must be managed under the relevant laws. This article defines key terms used in the law. RP’s head office is in Kigali, and it may be moved elsewhere in Rwanda if necessary. RP must have at least one IPRC college in each province and in the City of Kigali, subject to ministerial approval.

Abagize Inama ya RP n’uko

The RP Council must have at least seven members, including specified representatives, and at least 30% of the members must be women.

Section 14

Inshingano z’Umuyobozi Mukuru

The Vice Chancellor must carry out the listed management, representation, reporting, budgeting, and coordination duties for RP.

Statutes governing the teaching,

RP teaching, research, and other staff are governed by special statutes set by Presidential Order.
