This Order determines the requirements for a person to be granted a license for importing and exporting seeds. The application must also be accompanied by the following documents: Une personne qui désire importer les semences doit remplir un formulaire de demande fourni par l’autorité compétente requérant l’importation de semences. La demande doit aussi être accompagnée par les documents suivants: 1º a valid phytosanitary certificate and orange certificate or a COMESA seed certificate issued by a competent authority of the country of origin of the seeds or a re-export phytosanitary certificate from the exporting country; 1º un certificat phytosanitaire valide et le certificat orange ou le certificat de semence de COMESA délivré par l’autorité compétente du pays d’où proviennent les semences ou un certificat de réexportation phytosanitaire du pays exportateur; 2º a copy of seeds testing certificate issued 2º une copie du certificat de test de semences by a competent authority; délivré par une autorité compétente; 3º icyemezo cyangwa cyo guhungira icyemezo cyerekana ibyakorewe imbuto mbere yo koherezwa. The certificate must indicate the type of chemical used, the date and the duration of treatment; 3º un certificat de fumigation ou un certificat indiquant le traitement donné aux semences l’expédition. The competent authority, after receiving the application mentioned in point 5o of this law, inspects seeds and takes samples in accordance with relevant laws in order to test such samples in a recognised laboratory.
