About this statute

This article cites Rwanda’s capital markets law and collective investment schemes law. The Capital Market Authority is identified as the “AUTHORITY” and states that it adopts/decrees the following Code. This article states the code’s purpose: to help companies be governed fairly and transparently and to support sound management. This article defines terms used in the regulation, including auditor, authority, company, director, independent director, listed and unlisted. The Code applies to all listed companies, and from 1 January 2013 compliance becomes mandatory unless a specific provision exempts it.
