About this statute

This article says the law regulates people entering and leaving Rwanda. This article defines terms used in the Law. Border posts are established by Presidential Order. The Directorate General manages Rwanda’s border posts, coordinates with related bodies, and must appoint a border post manager at each border post unless special laws apply. Recognised travel documents are those issued by recognised governments or otherwise recognised by international conventions. A foreigner in Rwanda who loses a travel document and cannot get another must be issued an emergency travel document to leave the country.
