Statute overview

About this statute

This article states that the law’s purpose is to set out the organization, functioning, and mission of FONERWA. FONERWA must mobilize and manage resources and funds, and support public institutions, associations, and individuals for environmental protection, natural resources, research, and climate change work. FONERWA is supervised by the Ministry in charge of environment and climate change. A Managing Committee of FONERWA is established, and a Prime Minister’s Order will set its members, powers, responsibilities, and functioning. Members of FONERWA’s Managing Committee who attend meetings are entitled to sitting allowances, and the amount is set by Presidential Order.
