Purpose and legislative effect
“Dentists with a foreign diploma who were authorized to practice in Belgian Congo before 21 May 1929 may prescribe only the medicines listed in the annex for treating dental conditions.”
Dentists with a foreign diploma who were authorized to practice in Belgian Congo before 21 May 1929 may prescribe only the medicines listed in the annex for treating dental conditions. La restriction de l’article précédent s’applique aussi aux personnes qui ont un certificat de capacité de dentiste visé à l’article 4 de la loi du 12 mars 1818. Certain dentists in Belgian Congo may prescribe external medicines for local treatment of mouth and tooth conditions, but they may not prescribe list V medicines or most internal-use medicines. Persons referred to in article 3 may keep and personally administer listed medicines in a dental cabinet for professional use, and the text also lists certain oral medicine exceptions with dosage limits. Public announcements by the practitioner may only include the listed details, and may also mention the specific dental specialty practiced.
