Statute overview

About this statute

Les parties haute tension de l’alimentation et de l’installation des tubes luminescents à haute tension doivent être inaccessibles ou protégées. Installations de tubes luminescents under high voltage must use a special low-voltage feeder circuit, have a nearby multipolar quick-break switch marked “NEON” with a pilot lamp, and outdoor switches must be mounted on the building façade at 3–4 m height. Electrical transformers and related luminescent-tube equipment must be enclosed, locked, insulated, protected from accidental contact, and grounded as specified. Article 4 sets technical safety requirements for low-voltage external installations, transformers, high-voltage conductors, electrodes, connecting wires, and grounding. Warning plaques and a red zig-zag arrow must be displayed on certain high-voltage equipment access points, and near accessible high-voltage tube installations.
