Statute overview

About this statute

Travelers entering from an infected district, or leaving for a yellow-fever receptive zone, must carry a yellow fever vaccination certificate. La personne visée à l’article 1 doit établir certaines preuves de vaccination pour le certificat. Anyone entering Congo Beige or Ruanda-Urundi must have a valid smallpox vaccination certificate at arrival. Some arriving travelers and children are exempt from showing a valid smallpox vaccination certificate; the exemption is suspended during a smallpox epidemic. A vaccination certificate is valid only if it shows the holder was successfully vaccinated for the first time at least 8 days and no more than 3 years earlier.
