(d) “environmental and social impact assessment” means a study conducted to identify, predict and assess the potential environmental and social impacts of a proposed work, activity or propose mitigation project, and measures of impacts before implementation of the work, activity or project; those (d) « étude d’impact environnemental et social » signifie une étude menée pour identifier, prévoir et évaluer les impacts environnementaux et sociaux potentiels du travail, de l’activité ou du projet proposé, et proposer les mesures d’atténuation de ces impacts avant la mise en œuvre du travail, d’une activité ou d’un projet ; (e) « étude d’impact environnemental et social complète » signifie une étude qui comprend toutes les étapes d’une étude d’impact environnemental et social ; (f) « étude d’impact environnemental et social partielle » signifie une étude d’impact environnemental et social limitée à l’identification des problèmes environnementaux et sociaux et les mesures d’atténuation appropriées ; Official Gazette n° Special of 20/08/2025 (g) “practitioner” means a person authorised by the Rwanda Association of Environmental Practitioners to conduct environmental and social impact assessment; Professional (h) “practitioners firm” means a company or any other legal person licensed by the Rwanda Association of Professional Environmental Practitioners to conduct environmental and social impact assessment; (i) “public hearing” means the process of collecting ideas from people or organs likely to be affected directly or indirectly by the work, activity or project in order to protect their rights before the work, activity or project gets authorisation; (g) « praticien » signifie une personne autorisée par l’Ordre de la profession de praticiens en environnement au Rwanda à mener une étude d’impact environnemental et social ; (h) « cabinet de praticiens » signifie une entreprise ou autre personne morale agréée par l’Ordre de la profession de praticiens au Rwanda pour réaliser l’étude d’impact environnemental et social ; environnement en (i) « consultation publique » signifie le processus de collecter les avis de la population ou des organes susceptibles d’être ou indirectement par le travail, l’activité ou le projet afin de protéger leurs droits avant que le travail, l’activité ou le projet n’obtienne une autorisation ;
