The amendments seek to bring an Ambassador, High Commissioner or any other principal representative of Seychelles within the purview of section 8(3)(c) of the said Act in order to provide for the said category of Constitutional Appointees to draw the pension at the age prescribed under the said section 8(3)(c) of the Act. ENACTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Constitutional Appointees’ Emoluments (Amendment) Act, 2025. [28th May 2 0 2 5 ] Constitutio nal Appointees’ Emoluments (Amendment) 4 RREEPPUUBBLLIICC OOFF SSEEYYCCHHEELLLLEESS SSUUPPPPLLEEMMEENNTT TTOO OOFFFFIICCIIAALL GGAAZZEETTTTEE BBIILLLL Amendment of section 7A 2. Section 7A of the Constitutional Appointees' Emoluments Act, (Cap 256) in this Act referred to as the “principal Act” is amended in paragraph (c) by repealing the words “upon ceasing to hold office”. Amendment of section 8 3. Section 8 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (3)(c) by inserting after the letter “(j)”, the letter “(m)”.
