Statute overview

About this statute

This Act sets rules for creating, registering, administering, and regulating trusts in Seychelles. This part sets out when trustees must or may disclose trust information, who can request documents, and when trustees, protectors, and enforcers have duties, rights, or limits. Trustees of a trust with assessable income in Seychelles must notify the Authority within one month and file an annual return within one year. The provision also gives a stamp duty exemption for many trust-related instruments, sets offences and fines for obstruction and unlawful disclosure, and gives the Authority and Minister certain enforcement and regulation powers.
