ENACTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Immigration Decree (Amendment) Act, 2025. [11th August 202 5 ] Immi g ration Decree (Amendment) Act 295 REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES SUPPLEMENT TO OFFICIAL GAZETTE ACT Amendment of section 2 2. Section 2 of the Immigration Decree (Cap 93), is amended by repealing the definition of “passport” and therefor substituting the following definition — ‘ “passport” means a passport or other travel documents of identity — (a) (i) issued by or on behalf of the Government of a sovereign state or issued by the United Nations Organisation or other international or regional organisations as may be specified by the Minister; (ii) which contains a personal description of the holder, the name of the country in which he was born and the date of his birth; (iii) to which is attached a photograph being a true likeness of the holder wherein his features are clearly and correctly depicted; and (iv) which, except where a visa is dispensed with in pursuance of an arrangement to which the Government is a party, bears the visa or endorsement of a person authorised by the Government to that end; (b) or any other documents for the purpose of establishing the person’s identity, as may be prescribed by regulations.’.
