About this statute

This Act sets fire-safety rules, gives the Commissioner enforcement powers, and regulates registered inspectors. The Commissioner may appoint suitably trained supplementary enforcement officers, and may place hydrants or warning plates after giving 7 days’ written notice. People must not interfere with hydrant plates, take hydrant water without consent, damage hydrants, or give false fire alarms.
