The followi~g section is hereby inserted in the Usury Act, 1.968, after section 12:

This section inserts a new provision titled “Assignment of functions and powers by Minister” into the Usury Act after section 12.

The Minister may, by notice in the Gazette, assign the Registrar’s functions and powers to a competent provincial authority.

12A. The Minister may by notice in the Gazette assign any function assigned to and any power conferred upon the Registrar by or under this Act to a competent authority within the jurisdiction of the government of a province.". Short title
