About this statute

Section 4 of the Arms and Ammunition Act, 1969 is repealed. The Minister may publish a Gazette notice creating a surrender period for unlawfully held arms, ammunition, or armament; people who surrender items during that period get prosecution protections, and some items may be returned or disposed of under the Act. This section gives the Act its short title and says it is deemed to have come into operation on 1 December 1994.
