Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Sixth Amendment Act

1. Section 72 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1993, is hereby amended by the substitution for subsection (2) of the following subsection: "(2) The Constitutional Assembly shall, subject to subsection (3), appoint an independent panel of **five** <<seven>> South African citizens being recognised constitutional experts, not being members of Parliament or any other legislature and not holding office in any political party, to advise it, or the Chairperson, on any matters pertaining to its functions, and to perform such other tasks as are provided for in this Constitution.". Short title and commencement

2. This Act shall be called the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Sixth Amendment Act, 1994, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 23 June 1994. .
